About the event
This event is specifically for Sickle Cell patients who range in ages 17 to 30 years old, who are seeking an opportunity to work successfully in the community in a field that is of interest to them. Research has found that this population of patients are the most vulnerable because they are leaving pediatric care and learning how to navigate the adult healthcare system, during a time that is just generally more overwhelming because it coincides with major life changes and milestones. The intent of the Career Fair is to provide an arena of networking opportunities by exposing our transition aged patients to various career paths and equipping them with transferable skillsets to be workforce ready.
This Inaugural Transition Career Fair Expo will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at (Adult Pavilion, 9thFloor, 1001 East Leigh Street, Richmond VA 23219)
